I had a creative sunday. ^^
I wanted to draw Skipper and Hans back in their time together in Denmark. Here the two young birds have a day off and enjoying it as a loving couple. I like their glances at each other. They are full of happiness, joy and love. Hans deserves some happiness after all what will happen to him in the future. Poor puffin.
I think you cannot see it very clearly, but Skipper has a red cheek. ^^
As reference I used for Skipper a photo of a penguin I took at a vacation in London Zoo. And for Hans I used a photo of a puffin from the internet. I draw their bodies as the birds look in reality. Only the heads are designed after the cartoon. (So I hope Hans does not look too female - he is male). As in my fanfiction "Unable to fly" I wanted to constitute them with a mix of reality and cartoon.
For the heads I used the helpful tutorial from LeoKatana (you can find it here on deviantART).

Good job drawing them younger! It's difficult to show the differences in 10 years' worth, versus youth contrasted with ages 40-50 or so.
